Joke Turns Violent! 52-Year-Old Priest Brutally Beaten With Belts, His Clothes Torn In The Middle Of The Road In MP’s Gwalior
During the attack, the priest suffered serious injuries on his hands, legs, and head. His clothes were also torn. The entire incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera.

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A 52-year-old temple priest was allegedly brutally beaten by half a dozen men in the middle of the road in Gwalior.
The attackers hurled kicks and punches at him, and used belts, and sticks to assault him.
The incident took place on the night of March 29 in Badagaon, under the Mohana police station area.
During the attack, the priest suffered serious injuries on his hands, legs, and head. His clothes were also torn. The entire incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera.
The victim, Mahesh Sharma, is a priest at a temple in Badagaon. He said that the incident started with a minor argument. On March 29, around 3:30 PM, he was on his way home when a man named Chandrapal Dhakad jokingly used abusive words toward him.

In response, the priest also replied jokingly and left for Mohana to buy some items.
Later, around 7:00 PM, when he was returning home, Chandrapal and his brother Ramautar stopped him on the way and attacked him with belts and sticks. Soon after, another man named Prince Dhakad arrived with his friends and also joined in the assault.
The priest was badly injured, and the attackers fled the scene after beating him.

After the assault, the injured priest went to the police station and filed a complaint. Based on his statement and the CCTV footage, the police registered a case against six attackers, including three named suspects, and started searching for them.
After the complaint, the police registered a case against Ramautar, Chandrapal, Prince Dhakad, and three other unidentified men for assault and other charges.
Mohana police station in-charge Rashid Khan confirmed that a case has been registered and that the police are actively searching for the accused. He assured that all the attackers will be arrested soon.
