Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Ashoka Garden police have taken remand of six accused who were involved in flesh trade and human trafficking. The police have identified 26 people who were involved in the racket and were working for the kingpin Ashutosh Bajpai and his wife Mahak Yadav.
Police have arrested 18 people including mastermind and his wife on January 26 after it came to fore that they abducted a minor girl, forced her into flesh trade and then sold her to a man in Ashoknagar.
Later investigations revealed that the accused were running an organised flesh trade and human trafficking racket following which an FIR for organised crime was also registered against them. Ashutosh and Mehak were arrested earlier in connection with the murder of a call girl at a hotel in Shahpura in April last year.
Police officials said that on Thursday remand of accused Nidhi Agarwal, Maqbool Ali and Arjun Patel was taken while on Tuesday police took remand of Puja Thakur, Kuldeep and Naved Khan.
Questioning from the accused revealed that they were in contact with call girls from different districts of Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and other states. The girls used to visit Bhopal and were sent to the high profile clients on demand.
The deal was finalised and photographs of the girls were sent through WhatsApp. Police officials said that police was also investigating in the assets earned by the gang members and the kingpin through the illegal racket.
