DJ Yaseen MD Drugs Case: One More Held With Drug Weighing Scale In Bhopal

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Intensifying its crackdown on DJ Yaseen’s MD drug syndicate, Crime Branch on Friday arrested yet another gang member identified as Shakir of Aishbagh area.

The accused is the brother of Sanawwar, who is absconding in the drug case, police said.

Additional DCP Shailendra Singh Chauhan said Shakir was arrested following a tip off on Thursday and has been taken on remand for further questioning.

Shakir helped his brother escape the police net and was also found in possession of a machine used for weighing MD drugs and other substances.

Sanawwar’s name surfaced following interrogation of Saifuddin who was arrested in July. It came to fore that Sanawwar was supplying MD Drugs to Saifuddin and some other members of the syndicate, Chauhan added.

Notably, since busting the syndicate, the Crime Branch has arrested over a dozen of its members which include drug peddlers and firearm smugglers. Crime branch officials said further arrests are expected in the coming days as investigations follow.
