Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Following demand from investors, the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation plans to establish new industrial parks in various divisions, including Bhopal.
A final call on this will be taken in the next board meeting on April 17. Sources in the MPIDC said that around half a dozen industrial parks are slated to come up in the adjoining areas of Sehore and Bhopal alone.
Once they are established, the local economy is likely to receive a much-needed boost.
A corporation officer said to the Free Press, “One industrial park is going to be developed in Ashta near Sehore. Likewise, such parks have been planned in Obaidullaganj (Raisen) and the Ashapuri area (close to Mandideep).”
He said that all the industrial park-related proposals would be put forth in the next board meeting for the necessary clearance. MPIDC officer Vishal Singh Chouhan said there is a huge demand from investors for industrial parks around Bhopal.
