Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Congress will launch a three-day public awareness programme to appeal for the installation of Dr Ambedkar's statue in the premises of Gwalior High Court, party state president Jitu Patwari briefed the media on Tuesday.
The awareness programme will begin on June 23 and conclude on June 25.
Notably, there has been a dispute for the past few months over the installation of Dr Ambedkar's statue at the Gwalior High Court premises. It led to a division between the advocates, with some favouring the statue appeal while others demanded to maintain the status quo.
Congress has also been running a campaign in the Gwalior-Chambal region to establish a Dr BR Ambedkar statue in the court premises.

Speaking to the media, he said on June 23, the Congress leaders will go door-to-door and raise awareness among the public over the issue.
Similarly, congressmen will visit the slums and other places on June 24 and conduct discussions on the constitution. And on the last day of the programme, June 25, the party's senior leaders will observe a fast in Gwalior to support the idea of installing Dr Ambedkar's statue at the Gwalior High Court premises.
