Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): After Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia’s public hearing in Madhya Pradesh's Pichhore, allegations surfaced that complaint applications were discarded as waste. Scindia had directed officials to address grievances promptly, but locals claim their complaints were ignored once he left. A video of the same surfaced social media and grabbed attention of many.
Upon learning of the incident, Scindia took swift action. Three patwaris and two ministerial employees were suspended for negligence. He also instructed officials to maintain a proper record of applications and ensure grievances are resolved before his next visit.
According to information, over 500 people attended the hearing, raising issues related to housing, medical treatment, land disputes, electricity, and revenue matters. The event was also attended by Minister Pradyumn Singh Tomar and Pichhore MLA Pritam Lodhi. However, many attendees expressed disappointment, claiming such camps are merely symbolic. District Congress President called the hearing a "gimmick."
Meanwhile, SDM Shivdayal Dhakad refuted the allegations, stating that complaint applications were scanned and registered. He claimed that some individuals deliberately spread rumours by throwing scanned copies at the registration counter. BJP leader Om Prakash Chaudhary criticised the administration, stating that complaints should have been taken seriously instead of being discarded. Several citizens echoed similar concerns, alleging that only selective grievances are resolved, while the majority are left with mere assurances.
