Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav has performed Bhoomi Poojan of a ₹117 crore multi-level parking facility and a new Lawyers' Chamber within the premises of MP High Court in Jabalpur, on Sunday.
For a long time, lawyers had been struggling with the lack of proper chambers and unorganized parking. Their demands were raised repeatedly, but no action was taken, until now. However, CM’s announcement is considered a major gift for the lawyers providing them a much needed relief.
On Sunday, in a formal ceremony, CM Mohan Yadav performed the Bhoomi Poojan for the new building. The event was attended by Supreme Court Judges Justice Suryakant, Justice J.K. Maheshwari, and Justice S.C. Sharma, along with the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court, Suresh Kumar Kait, other judges, and many lawyers.

Legal fraternity relieved
The legal fraternity expressed happiness over the fulfillment of this long-pending demand.
Speaking to the media, High Court Bar Association President, D.K. Jain, shared that around 6,000 lawyers did not have proper seating arrangements in the court.
He added, the chaotic parking situation was a reason for their daily troubles. With the construction of the multi-level parking and the Lawyers' Chamber, these issues are expected to be resolved.
