‘Chor Hai Ye,’ Locals Beat 20-Year-Old Youth With Slipper, Force Him To Touch Feet & Apologise In Bhopal; Disturbing Video Surfaces
An FIR has been registered under charges of abuse and assault, and the identities of other accused will be added after identification.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 20-year-old youth from Bhopal’s Railway Colony was brutally beaten by multiple assailants on the night of August 9.
The video of the incident surfaced on Tuesday, prompting police action.
In the video, the youth is seen surrounded by three to four boys, one of whom is hitting him with a chappal. The attacker then forces the youth to apologise by making him touch his feet.
Other youths in the video can be heard using abusive language, accusing the victim of being a thief and saying, "Chor hai ye, chori kar raha tha."

According to GRP station in-charge Zaheer Khan, the main accused has been identified as Divyanshu Soni, who allegedly held a grudge against the victim.
An FIR has been registered under charges of abuse and assault, and the identities of other accused will be added after identification.
The victim told police that around 11:30 pm, Soni called him to the railway ground, claiming he wanted to talk.
Once there, Soni allegedly punched, kicked, abused, and threw shoes at him, even forcing him to touch his feet. Several others joined in the attack.
The ordeal ended when an acquaintance, Pawan Yadav, happened to pass by and intervened.
The victim then returned home and reported the matter to the GRP the next day. Police have conducted the victim’s medical examination and are continuing the investigation.
