NSUI demands buildings for over 211 schools
National Students of India (NSUI) has submitted a memorandum addressed to chief minister Mohan Yadav urging to construct buildings for over 211 schools in the state. According to national NSUI spokesperson Viraj Singh, Madhya Pradesh has more than 211 schools that don’t have buildings of their own. They are functioning in cow sheds, on temple premises, in huts, community halls and other places.
In government records, these schools are running in buildings. But all these buildings are in a dilapidated state and not fit to conduct classes. Singh asked state government to allocate budget for construction and also to take action against such officials responsible for maintenance and reconstruction.
