Although someone had cut the wires after the issue became public, the inspection team clearly noted the presence of the cameras.

Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): A bizarre case was reported from Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur, where a CCTV camera was found inside the boys' toilet of a government school on Wednesday.
A video showing the CCTV camera located inside the toilet went viral on social media, raising serious questions about the actions and intentions of the school principal.

According to information, the camera was submitted to the school under the name of Principal Rajendra Kumar Tamrakar.
Allegations suggest that the camera may have been placed to secretly record students, though the principal has denied these claims. He said the cameras were dummy models meant to prevent students from damaging bathroom equipment.
As soon as the incident came to the notice of Commissioner Anil Suchari, he ordered Chhatarpur Collector Parth Jaiswal to investigate. The collector sent Tehsildar Bharat Pandey to the school, who confirmed that cameras were found in the boys' toilets on both floors.
Although someone had cut the wires after the issue became public, the inspection team clearly noted the presence of the cameras.
Notice issued
Following the collector’s instructions, the District Education Officer issued a show-cause notice to the principal on July 8, asking why cameras were installed in the toilet and under whose orders. He was told to reply immediately or face disciplinary action. If his explanation is not found satisfactory, officials said suspension and criminal investigation may follow.
Principal Rajendra Tamrakar claimed the cameras were not working and were only put there to stop students from damaging bathroom fixtures.
He said the school’s CCTV system has only 16 working cameras and none are connected to the toilets. He also said the DVR (recording device) is available for checking.
Parents demand action
Parents and locals are furious. They said just a notice is not enough — they are demanding the immediate suspension of the principal and a full criminal investigation. Officials have assured that the matter is being taken seriously and action will be taken based on the final investigation report.
