Bhopal (Madhya Pardesh): The district administration has sealed City Care Hospital located at Motiya Talab Road temporarily on Wednesday.
The Chief Medical and Health Officer action follows a complaint of medical negligence and failure of the hospital administration to respond to the notices in connection with it.
Earlier, the CMHO office had issued a notice to the hospital seeking reply over the complaint of negligence. Besides, the hospital was also instructed to keep OPD closed and not to admit new patients till the investigations were underway.

On Wednesday, a team from the CMHO office visited the hospital and found it fully functional. Hospital operator Raees Khan also kept avoiding the inspection team and when confronted, bluntly refused to give a statement to the team. The team also found expired material in the ICU.
CMHO Dr Manish Sharma said that all the documents related to the treatment of the deceased patient have been sought from the hospital management. In case of negligence in the treatment, non-response to notice or unsatisfactory response, action will be taken as per the provisions of the Nursing Home and Clinic Establishment Act, he added.
