Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Two persons including a minor girl committed suicide by hanging herself in two separate incidents. No suicide notes were found in both cases and reasons behind the suicides were still to be ascertained, police said.
In the first incident, Gautam Nagar resident auto driver Amir Khan (25) was found hanging in his room late Wednesday night. His wife spotted the body and raised an alarm. In another incident, body of a 17-year-old girl identified as Shikha Bundela was found hanging at her home in Bhanpur under Chhola Mandir police station.
Police investigations revealed that Shikha’s family hails from Datia and his father is a farmer.
Woman jumps to death from terrace after argument over phone
A woman jumped to death from the terrace of her house under Itkhedi police station area on Wednesday night. Her kin claimed that she took the extreme step following an altercation with a youth over the phone.
Call details of the woman were being scanned following which further action will be taken, said TI Itkhedi police station Durjan Singh Barkhade. Barkhade said Rani Sikarwar (33) was a resident of Itkhedi village.
She jumped from the terrace of her house around 2 am and was admitted to the hospital where she died while undergoing treatment on Thursday morning.
Primary investigations revealed that Rani got married in 2021 but after separation from her husband she started living with her parents. It has come to fore that Rani was arguing with someone over the phone late in the night. Her kin claimed that following the argument she jumped from the terrace.
