Two Held For Setting Woman’s House On Fire

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Cops of Ashoka Garden police station on Saturday arrested two culprits who set a house on fire by pouring petrol in an old enmity in Hinotia area on Thursday night. The family was unhurt in the fire but it caused damage to household goods and some vehicles. The incident was caught on CCTV cameras and went viral on social media.

Police took out a parade of the accused in the locality and made them apologise for their crime. An FIR was lodged against the miscreants on the complaint of house owner Nikita Malviya.

In her complaint, Nikita informed police that two persons poured petrol after crossing the main gate of her house and lighted a fire resulting in damage to some goods and two vehicles. However, the family members which included Nikita’s children, parents and brother rushed outside and doused the fire.

Through the footages, police identified the miscreants as Feroz Aftab and Ravi Kushwaha. Investigations revealed that the accused were in an enmity with Nikita’s brother Akash as he had intervened during a scuffle with their rivals some days back.

In-charge of Ashoka Garden police station TI Hemant Srivastava said Feroz and Ravi were arrested following a tip-off on Saturday. Feroz has four cases registered against him while Ravi had two including cases of Arms Act, the TI added.

Man Kills Self Over Domestic Scuffle

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A man committed suicide by hanging himself at his home under Arera Hills police station limits on Friday night. No suicide note was found at the spot but primary investigations suggest that he took the extreme step following a domestic scuffle, police said.

As per reports, Raju Rajak, resident of Bhim Nagar locality used to run a fast food kiosk and lived with his wife and children. Investigations revealed that Raju was addicted to alcohol for which his wife used to raise objection. The duo often used to scuffle over the issue.

On Friday night, Raju returned home in an inebriated state and again quarrelled with his wife. Raju then went to sleep in his room. Late at night, his wife raised an alarm when she saw him hanging from the ceiling through a rope.

Man Assaulted Over Social Media Post

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A man was allegedly assaulted by some persons in Karond over a social media post. Nishatpura police is now investigating about the content of the post, which caused the scuffle between the youths.

Mohammed Javed, resident of Housing Board Colony in Karond, in his complaint said Shiraz and others objected to his certain social media post. It is alleged that they waylaid Javed near Dussehra Maidan on January 20 and assaulted him.

They also issued threats to Javed before fleeing the spot. Sub inspector at Nishatpura police station Karan Singh said an FIR had been registered against Shiraz and his aides Haseen, Shoaib, Amir, Zubair, Ayan and Ameen. However, the content of the old Facebook post ,which Javed uploaded is still to be ascertained, he added.
