Bhopal: State’s Largest Contingent To Take Part In The 37th National Games
National Games to kick start in Goa from October 26 to October 28

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The 37th National Games are set to take place in Panaji, Goa, from today. Madhya Pradesh is gearing up to participate with its largest-ever contingent, comprising 524 players and officials.
A record-breaking contingent of 524 players including officials will represent the state in the 37th Games.
A total of 424 players will compete in a diverse range of 43 sports disciplines, with Athletics boasting the highest number of participants at 43. Following by the Rowing team comprises of 28 players, adding to the state's representation.
This edition of National Games will feature a wide range of sports, including gymnastics, rowing, hockey, boxing, shooting, water polo, lawn tennis, snooker, handball, judo, table tennis, and many more. Several sports, such as Kho, Yogasana, and Mallakhamb, will make their National Games debuts.
Furthermore, new sports disciplines, including beach football, roll ball, golf, sepak takraw, sqay martial arts, kalliya rapattu, and pencak silat, will also make their debut. Taekwondo and yachting are returning to the Games after being excluded from the last edition.
In a nod to tradition and cultural diversity, demonstration sports of lagori and gatka have been added to this year event.
