Bhopal Shocker: BBA Student Hit By Pellet After Neighbour Trying To Shoot Pigeon Misses Target

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A BBA third-year student sustained severe injuries after a pellet from her neighbour's air gun accidentally hit her in Bhopal on Monday. The accused neighbour was trying to shoot the pigeons when he missed the target and the pellet pierced the girl's chest.

The victim has been identified as Adeeba, a resident of Berasai. She suffered severe blood loss and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.

According to information, on Monday evening, she was on the rooftop collecting clothes when a neighbour, trying to shoot pigeons, misfired. The pellet missed its target, struck Adeeba near her chest, and pierced through her body.

Despite the injury, Adeeba managed to drag herself to the staircase and called out to her parents, who immediately rushed her to a private hospital in Bhopal.

Doctors performed surgery, and her condition is now stable. They reported that the pellet narrowly missed her heart, and if it had hit slightly higher, it could have been fatal.

The incident occurred around 5:30 PM.

Berasia Police Station in-charge Arun Sharma confirmed that a case of attempted murder has been registered, and police are searching for the accused.

Dead pigeons were found at the scene, supporting claims that the airgun was being used to target birds.

Recalling the incident, Adeeba said, "I heard a loud noise and suddenly felt a sharp pain in my chest. For a moment, I thought I wouldn’t survive."

Adeeba is the second daughter in her family, with her elder sister already married.

Her family is relieved that she is recovering well, and investigations into the case are ongoing.
