Bhopal Shocker! 23-Year-Old Newly Married Woman Hangs Herself After Fight With Husband Over His Extra-Marital Affair

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 23-year-old newly married woman hanged herself to death in Bhopal after an argument with her husband on Wednesday.

The incident is of Bhopal's Chhola area. The woman’s family claims she was being harassed and mentally tortured by her husband since the marriage took place.

The woman, Bharti Kuchbandhiya, was married to Vishal Kuchbandhiya two months ago, on February 3. Her brother Rahul said that after marriage, Bharti's husband would often stay away from home for days, physically abuse her, and was in touch with another woman. He also refused to live peacefully with her, which caused Bharti a lot of stress.

On Tuesday, after another dispute at her in-laws' house, Bharti’s family brought her back to her mother’s home in Bhopal. That same night, when her mother had gone out for some work and no one else was home, Bharti took the extreme step and ended her life by hanging herself using a scarf.

Just before the suicide, Bharti reportedly had a heated phone call with her husband. Her niece, who was in the house, heard the argument. Moments later, she found Bharti hanging and quickly informed the neighbors and family.

Police said no suicide note was found at the scene. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
