Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Barkatullah University (BU) is keeping its fingers crossed after the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) team wrapped up its three-day inspection on Friday.
In its last assessment, BU had received a B grade, but this time, it's aiming higher—hoping an improved score will pave the way for additional grants and greater academic opportunities.
Sources in BU said that two NAAC members visited the campus and reviewed several facilities, including the incubation centre, library and book stock, canteen, ATM facility, classrooms and student research output.
The inspection, however, was not without controversy. Some disgruntled students claimed that several facilities were hurriedly spruced up just before the NAAC visit. Though they were not allowed to interact with the team directly, their discontent stirred unease on campus.
