Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The All India Institutes of Medical Science’s department of ophthalmology has introduced two new refraction units in the eye OPD.
Eye tests become more accessible and efficient
The objective of this initiative is to provide patients with improved, faster, and high-quality eye examination services. With installation of these units, the process of eye testing will become more accessible and efficient, directly benefiting the general public.
Through these new refraction units, services such as refraction (including vision testing and prescription for glasses or contact lenses), corneal topography (which enables a detailed analysis of the corneal surface), and Hess screening (which evaluates the position and movement of eye muscles) will be offered. These services will be especially beneficial for patients requiring regular eye check-ups, specialised eye assessments, or detailed consultations.
Enhanced quality
Dr Ajai Singh, executive director of AIIMS Bhopal, said, “Our continuous endeavor is to provide accessible and excellent healthcare services to patients in a timely manner. The new refraction units will not only reduce the waiting time for patients but also enhance the quality and scope of eye examination. Initiatives like these reflect our institute’s commitment to service.”
