Guna (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh’s Guna police arrested 9 people in connection with the stone-pelting case that occurred in the district on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti (April 12, Saturday night), as reported by PTI on Sunday.
According to information, BJP councillor Omprakash Kushwah, also known as Gabbar, filed a police complaint on Saturday. Based on his complaint, around 25 people were charged with attempted murder, assault, rioting, and vandalism.
The councillor also claimed that gunshots were fired during the incident.

What was the matter?
As per reports,the procession began at 4 pm from the Shivaji Nagar Mata Mandir on April 12. A DJ led the procession while a group of young people danced behind it.
Around 7:30 PM, the procession reached the Colonelganj area and stopped near a mosque. It was here that stones were reportedly thrown at the procession, sparking violence from both sides.

Police quickly arrived at the scene and dispersed the crowd to control the situation. Later that night, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia spoke with Guna SP Sanjeev Kumar to get updates regarding the incident.
After the stone-pelting, participants of the procession gathered at Hanuman Chowk and blocked the road in protest. Officials convinced them to head to the Kotwali police station instead, after which the roadblock ended.
