80-Yr-Old Painter Showcases Feelings Of Consciousness Through 19 Works In Bhopal
Exhibition of solo paintings of Sushma Agarwal from Lucknow begins under Rupaabh Painting Exhibition

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): 80-year-old painter Sushma Agrawal from Lucknow has showcased feelings of consciousness through 19 paintings using water and acrylic colours in abstract form.
It was part of a solo exhibition which began at Rangdarshini Gallery at Bharat Bhavan on Tuesday.
Organised by Rupankar Art Division, the paintings displayed in the exhibition are organised under Rupaabh Painting Exhibition Series. Agrawal said that this is the first time that my exhibition is being held in Bhopal and Bharat Bhavan.
‘I have tried to engrave feelings of consciousness of the mind on the canvas through colours,’ she said adding that ‘I wish that painters create such art that gives knowledge, joy and solutions to people.’
According to Agrawal, brush and colour also have their own strengths, which bring liveliness to a painting and it creates a sense of liveliness and inspires others. She said that painting has its own rules, laws and soul. Agrawal said that she has been fond of colours and brush since childhood.
This is the reason why she got associated with painting and decided to pursue it as a career. ‘Even though no one in the family has been associated with painting before, when I started making paintings, the family encouraged me a lot,’ she said. The exhibition will remain open for visitors till January 25.
