10 More E-Buses To Hit Roads From Today In Bhopal

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Ten more electric buses will be added to city's public transport fleet from Monday, taking the number of operational e-buses to 35. Of these, 30 buses will operate on three key routes connecting Kolar, Bairagarh and Ashoka Garden, while five will be kept in reserve till the arrival of the next fleet.

The buses will operate through MP Nagar Board Office, which will serve as the main junction for the three routes.

Bhopal City Link Limited (BCLL) expects the increased fleet to improve service frequency from the existing 30-minute interval to about 15 minutes including peak hours.

BCLL CEO Anju Arun Kumar said the current fleet was part of a larger plan under which 100 e-buses were expected to operate across Bhopal, further expanding connectivity and reducing waiting time for passengers.

Services to continue till 9 pm

E-buses will operate from 6.30 am to 9 pm, extending their service hours into the evening. The city and surrounding areas are also slated to get services on routes including Sukhi Sevania-Bhojpur, Atal Bihari University-RRF Camp Bagroda, Acharpura-Bilkisganj, Parvalia Sadak-Obaidullaganj, Sehore-Ratapani, Coach Factory-Obaidullaganj and Phanda-Mandideep.

Three routes to get more buses

* Route B-35 will connect Chirayu Hospital in Bairagarh with Aakriti Eco City in Salaiya, covering major locations like Lalghati, Hamidia Hospital, Royal Market, Roshanpura, Board Office, MP Nagar, Bittan Market and 1100 Quarters.

* Route B-36 will run between the Coach Factory area and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Nagar on Kolar Road, passing through Bhopal Railway Station, Ashoka Garden, Prabhat Petrol Pump, Board Office, MP Nagar, Bittan Market, Chunabhatti and Nayapura.

* Route B-37 will connect Bairagarh E-bus Depot with ISBT via Lalghati, Hamidia Hospital, Nadra Bus Stand, Jahangirabad, PHQ, Malviya Nagar, DB Mall and Board Office.
