Hamas Gaza Chief Muhammad Sinwar Eliminated By Israel Army, Says PM Benjamin Netanyahu (VIDEO)

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday confirmed Hamas Gaza chief Mohammed Sinwar was killed by Israel army in an airstrike on May 13. Mohammed Sinwar was a top Hamas commander and younger brother of slain Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar.
"We eliminated Mohammed Sinwar," Netanyahu told a parliament plenary session on Wednesday, according to AFP.
On May 18, it was reported that the body of Muhammad Sinwar had been found in a tunnel struck by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Sinwar was the younger brother of the former Hamas chief in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, was eliminated by Israeli military in southern Gaza last October. After his brother’s death, he was elevated to the top ranks of the Palestinian militant group.

Mohammed Sinwar was involved in the 2006 abduction of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, a high-profile operation that led to a prisoner exchange deal in 2011.
