The internet has gone viral with videos showing Netflix characters come to life in the metro and turning their boring travel into a little dramatic one. Manjulika, Money Heist, and a Squid Game character entered the Delhi metro in a promotional video featuring the collaboration of boAt and Netflix.

The video was shared on Instagram by the official handle of boAt, a Delhi-based electronic gadget brand. However, only snippets from the video have surfaced on the internet and gone viral from the staged performance.

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC), which operates the Aqua Line between the twin cities in Gautam Buddh Nagar, confirmed Tuesday evening that the viral footage showing cine characters was part of a commercial advertisement shot on the metro premises with its permission. Ad film shooting was carried out by M/s Creative Productions on December 22, 2022, under approved NMRC Policy for Film Shooting, stated a PTI report while quoting NMRC officials.
