Spiritual Quest! Russian Woman Found Living With 2 Kids Inside Forest Cave In Karnataka's Gokarna; Rescued (VIDEO)

Karnataka, July 12: In a startling discovery, a 40-year-old Russian woman was found living inside a cave with her two small daughters in Karnataka's Gokarna. The woman was found during a routine patrol by the police in the dense forest of Gokarna located in the Uttara Kannada district. There are reports that the woman has been identified as Mohi and was residing in the cave located in the Ramteertha forest region along with her daughters, Priya (6) and Ama (4) for the past few years.

Mohi arrived in India via Goa and made her way to Gokarna as she chose to live in seclusion for meditation. There are reports that the woman was performing daily prayers inside the cave. A small idol of Lord Rudra was also found from the cave. She was leading an isolated life amidst the nature along with her children.

The woman was found inside the cave in July 9, when a police team which was patrolling the area after reports of a minor landslide. During their patrol, they noticed movement in the cave. When they reached the location, they found the woman and her children inside. The area seemed to be dangerous due to landslides, wild animals and reptiles, such as snakes and other. The police team tried to convince the woman to leave the location and move to a safer destination. However, she was adamant and was not ready to leave the place.

The woman was taken to an Ashram in Kumta after a long struggle. She only requested the police to drop her at the ashram. The police also inquired about her passport, which she claimed to have lost. However, the police recovered her passport and found that her visa had expired in 2017, after which she left the country and entered Nepal.

There are reports that she illegally entered India again from Nepal and reached the cave from Goa. The matter has been reported to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in Bengaluru and arrangements are being made to deport her and her children back to Russia.

Mohi was reportedly drawn to spirituality after which she chose to live in isolation in the nature. She had been surviving in the forest with her children in the dark and dangerous cave. The authorities are continuing to investigate the matter, and child welfare officials are ensuring the children receive the necessary care during the ongoing legal process.
