Would you ever slap your parent? In most Indian families, such an act is considered deeply disrespectful and against family values. Yet, a recent video making the rounds on social media shows exactly that — a mother filming her daughter slapping her, all for a reel. Instead of stopping or correcting the behaviour, the mother continued recording, and the video ended abruptly, leaving viewers shocked and disturbed.
What the content creator seemingly thought would be a humorous reel ended up drawing widespread criticism. Rather than finding it funny, the internet reacted with concern and condemnation.

The video, shared by Instagram user Sanaya Ranjan, who has nearly four lakh followers, features a mother-daughter duo lip-syncing to a trending audio clip that says, "Mujhe gussa jaldi aa jata hai”.
At first, the scene appears light-hearted. The mother is seen gently holding her daughter’s hand, speaking to her in a playful manner. However, the tone of the reel changes suddenly to a violent level. Within seconds, the young girl raises her hand and slaps her mother — a moment that left viewers appalled.
