WPL 2026 Auction: Check Full Gujarat Giants Squad ft Sophie Devine, Renuka Thakur

Gujarat Giants have had a sedate start to the WPL Auction so far. Giants walked into the auction with the second highest but have been frugal in their purchases so far. Gujarat retained Ashleigh Gardner (₹3.5 Crore) and Beth Mooney (₹2.5 Crore) to have ₹9 crore left in their purse.

They spent heavily on securing the services of New Zealand white Ferns legend Sophie Devine. The 36-year-old who played for RCB, led New Zealand to the T20 World Cup title last year. A top order batter who bowls medium pace, Devine was bought for a ₹ 2 crore.

Following that purchase, however Giants opted to slow down. They bought back Bharti Fulmali via retention for ₹ 70 lakh. Fulmali was one of the finds for the franchise last year and will continue to grow with the franchise. India's World Cup star Renuka Singh Thakur was bought for ₹ 60 lakh, which could prove to be a shrewd acquisition. Ex-Delhi Capitals pacer and u19 stalwart Titas Sadhu also adds to their bowling contingent.

Giants have the second most budget heading into the WPL 2026 Auction. Gujarat have 9 crore left, and will look to build a team that can compete. They made the eliminator last year, but will hope to improve on the same with the mega auction. They will have 3 RTMs, with the likes of Phoebe Litchfield and Laura Wolvaardt likely targets.
