Wimbledon 2025: Aryna Sabalenka's Thoughtful Gesture Gains Spotlight, Passes On Bottle Of Water To Spectator Amid Scorching Heat; Video
Belarusian Tennis player Aryna Sabalenka showed a thoughtful gesture towards one of the spectators during her Wimbledon 2025 semi-final bout against Amanda Anisimova on July 10, Thursday. A video of the same surfaced on social media as she was seen handing a bottle of water to a female spectator to help her stay hydrated.

Belarusian Tennis player Aryna Sabalenka showed a thoughtful gesture towards one of the spectators during her Wimbledon 2025 semi-final bout against Amanda Anisimova on July 10, Thursday. A video of the same surfaced on social media as she was seen handing a bottle of water to a female spectator to help her stay hydrated.
Due to the conditions being on the warmer side in London, players and spectators were seen struggling with the same. With Sabalenka battling in the heat in a tight contest against Anisimova, the former took a moment out to pass a bottle of water to the spectator.

With Anisimova stunning the World No.1 in the women's category to reach the final, the American couldn't help but praise the Belarusian for inspiring her and many others to take up the sport. Anisimova also thanked the crowd for cheering as equally as her opponent, stating, as quoted by BBC Sport:
"This doesn't feel real right now. Aryna is such a tough competitor. I was dying out there. She's such an incredible competitor, such an inspiration to me and so many other players. We had so many tough battles and to come on top today to get into the final at Wimbledon is incredibly special. The atmosphere was special today. I know she's number one but so many were cheering for me so I just want to say a huge 'thank you' to everyone."
