India vs Pakistan WCL 2025 Match Cancelled Due To THIS Reason, Here's What Organisers Said

The clash between India and Pakistan at the World Champions of Legends (WCL) had to be called off due to tension between the nations. Reports had emerged that some of the Indian players decided to pull out of the match due to the heinous terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam on April 22.
However, in a major update, the Indian team have not been found at fault for the cancellation of the match. According to ANI report, WCL sources on Monday informed that the organisers of the competition have conveyed to England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) that they were unable to conduct the match.
The report citing WCL sources further said that the Pakistan Champions side is not willing to share points with their arch-rivals as the match between the two sides was called off due to the Indian players pulling out of the fixture.
Speaking about the clash, WCL sources said, "WCL have conveyed to England and Wales Cricket Board that they, as organisers, were not able to conduct this match. The India Champions team are not at fault. Pakistan Champions team are not willing to share points because they are saying that it is India who backed out, not them."
Will India Pakistan in the semi-finals?
Pakistan Champions team owner Kamil Khan has confirmed that India and Pakistan will not play each other in the semi-finals, even if both teams qualify for the last four.
Speaking to Geo News he said, “All matches apart from the cancelled one are being played as planned. The tournament is proceeding on schedule,” Khan said. “As far as the semi-finals go, if both teams make it, we will ensure they do not face each other at that stage.”
In the previous edition of the WCL, India Champions trounced Pakistan to secure a five-wicket victory in the final. India gunned down a 157-run target with a blistering batting display to lift the title.
