MSDIANS Strikers secured a comprehensive five-wicket victory over Boundry Blazers in a thrilling match of the in a SSK Premier League S2 in Nashik on Friday. Boundry Blazers were bowled out for 82 in 17.4 overs, thanks to a sensational bowling performance by Shantanu Wekhande, who took six wickets for just 21 runs in four overs.

In the chase, MSDIANS Strikers comfortably reached the target in 11.4 overs, with Shantanu Wekhande shining with the bat as well, scoring a brilliant 47 off 35 balls. B. Kurhade provided solid support, smashing 21 runs off 14 balls with 3 fours and 1 six at a strike rate of 150, ensuring a dominant win for the Strikers.

Krishna CA clinched an 18-run victory over RV Sports in a low-scoring thriller. Batting first, Krishna CA posted 104/9 in 20 overs, with R. Shinde anchoring the innings with a cautious 39 off 53 balls. Defending a modest target, Kiran Babar took five wickets for just four runs, completely dismantling the RV Sports batting lineup. K. Yadav provided strong support with three wickets for 23 runs as RV Sports were bowled out for 86 in 19.1 overs.

SSK CA claimed a 36-run victory over Griffin C.A in another match. Batting first, SSK CA posted 140 all-out in 19.4 overs, powered by Atharva Suryavanshi's 41 off 30 balls and R. Purohit's steady 34 off 34 balls. A. Gosavi was the standout bowler for SSK CA, taking three wickets for 21 runs in four overs. In reply, Griffin C.A managed 104/8 in their 20 overs, with R. Sharma delivering a brilliant bowling spell for Griffin C.A, claiming three wickets for 18 runs in four overs.

Meri Green CC delivered a dominant performance to secure a resounding seven-wicket victory over Shivam Derle CA. Gopinath Jadhav claimed three wickets without conceding a single run in 1.2 overs as Shivam Derle CA were bowled out for just 56 in 16.2 overs. S. Raut and S. Jadhav provided excellent support, taking two wickets each while maintaining tight economy rates of 2.25 and 2.50, respectively. Chasing the target, Meri Green CC cruised to victory in just 4.5 overs, with O. Ukhade smashing a quickfire 25 off 11 balls.

Royal Challengers secured a comfortable 29-run victory over The Akraman CC with a stellar all-round performance in the Western Cricket Cup in Pune on Friday. Batting first, Royal Challengers posted a competitive total of 151/8 in 20 overs, led by Anish Shirsat’s 23 off 19 balls and S. Patil’s explosive 22 off 15 balls. In response, The Akraman CC were bowled out for 122 in 18.4 overs, with Anish Shirsat shining with the ball as well, taking four wickets for just 15 runs. S. Pingle provided excellent support, grabbing two wickets for only 2 runs in his solitary over.

SJ Foundation secured a solid six-wicket victory over Pune Skywalker in a well-fought contest. Chasing a target of 155, SJ Foundation reached the mark in 18.1 overs thanks to R. Patel's steady 47 off 50 balls and T. Thakkar's brisk 28 off 20 balls.

Earlier, Pune Skywalker managed 154/5 in their 20 overs, with Harshal Mankar delivering a crucial bowling spell for SJ Foundation, taking three wickets for just 20 runs.

Mumbai City East win women's kabaddi match

Mumbai City East defeated Akola with a 48-12 scoreline in the women's match of the 23rd Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chashak 2025 kabaddi tournament in Baramati organised by the Maharashtra State Kabaddi Association and Pune District Kabaddi Association.

Nandurbar secured a commanding 64-25 win against Nagpur in other round 6 match on the second day. Samruddhi Shankar Kolekar of Nandurbar was the women's player of the match.

Mumbai Upnagar West edged out Bhandara 33-29 in the men's sixth round match. Sangli displayed dominance, defeating Yavatmal with a decisive 62-36 victory. Sudesh Shelar of Mumbai Upanagar West emerged as the men's player of the match.
