SportVot x FPJ: Atharv Bhosale Hammers 149 In Lions CC's Massive Win

Atharv Bhosale hammered 149 runs in 66 balls to power Lions Cricket Club to massive 137-run victory over Royal Challengers in the Western Cricket Cup match in Pune on Wednesday. Bhosale's breathtaking knock included 12 boundaries and 11 sixes to help Lions Cricket Club post a staggering 227/10 in just 19.2 overs. A. Shaikh shone with the ball for Lions Cricket Club, claiming four wickets for 23 runs in three overs.

In response, Royal Challengers faltered under the pressure, bowled out for just 90 in 13.3 overs despite a valiant effort by S. Katore, who took four wickets for 28 runs in 3.2 overs, and S. Prajapati, who also claimed four wickets but conceded 47 runs in three overs.

Team Shiledar cruised to an emphatic eight-wicket victory over The Akraman CC in another match. Shiledar chased down the target of 142 in just 15.2 overs. Opener Yaishle Kuchhal was the star of the match, smashing a brilliant 81 off 53 balls, while O. Yadhav’s explosive 22 off 8 balls, including two fours and two sixes, ensured a quick finish. S. Devarkar provided stability with a steady 24 off 25 balls. Earlier, The Akraman CC posted 141/7 in their 20 overs, with R. Kanaujiya delivering a standout bowling performance for Team Shiledar, taking three wickets for just 21 runs in his four overs.

Cricsport Academy will take on Pune XI Sports in the next match on Thursday. The tournament which started on january 13 comprises of eight teams and is managed by Foretitans. The event is being streamed live on Sportvot in association with FPJ. Total 15 matches will be played in the tournament with the final slated on January 22.
