The Indian cricket team's decision to drop young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal from the playing XI for the second One-Day International (ODI) against England has sparked widespread outrage among fans. The 23-year-old's omission has left many questioning the team management's strategy and sparking a heated debate on social media.
Jaiswal, who made his ODI debut in the first match against England, scored 15 runs but failed to make a significant impact. However, fans and experts alike felt that he deserved another chance to prove himself, given his impressive domestic record and potential.
The Indian team management decided to bring in Virat Kohli in place of Jaiswal. The move is likely aimed at stabilizing the Indian batting lineup and providing a solid foundation for the rest of the innings.
The news of Jaiswal's exclusion spread like wildfire on social media, with fans expressing their disappointment and frustration. Many took to Twitter to vent their anger. One fan wrote, “Now this is inexplicable for me.. Why drop Jaiswal when you played him in the 1st ODI? Give him a hit no? Could have kept Shreyas or Gill out, since they already had one! This proves that the team management is so fickle they can’t stick to their own plans.”
