MSSA Football: Smt. AVM Juhu U-16 Girls Blank Holy Cross 4-0

Smt. AVM Juhu thrashed Holy Cross Convent Mira Road 4-0 in the Girls U-16 Division I Group D clash of the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) football tournament at Wings Sports Centre, Bandra on Tuesday. Radhika Vyias scored a brace while Meera Toolsidass and Riona Nag scored a goal each to give Juhu side a convincing win.
In Group B clash, Cathedral and John Connon overcame the challenge of Don Bosco International Matunga with 2-0 win. Tisha Mandot put Cathedral ahead while Anasuya Raju came from the bench to net the second goal.
In Group A match of the same division, Bombay Scottish, Mahim and Thakur Public School, Kandivali were involved in a goalless stalemate.
Meanwhile, in the Boys Under-16 Division I Group D match, Don Bosco Borivali outclassed Gokhuldam Goregaon 4-0. Reenish Kotia scored two goals while Cristiano Lewsi scored the opener and Saunil Wadgaonkar also chipped in with a goal. St. Stanislaus Bandra School boys edged past Utpal Sanghvi Juhu 1-0 in Group C clash. Riyaan Uddiyar scored the winning goal.
