Nepal won the toss and decided to defend first, just like their women’s team did earlier in the evening, giving India the chance to attack right away. India didn’t waste any time, as Waikar and his teammates quickly took out Nepal’s key players—Hem, Janak, and Suraj—in just under 90 seconds to score their first points.
Nepal managed to regain some ground during their next turn, with defender Rajan Bal holding off India’s attackers for about two minutes before being run out.
