Team India skipper Rohit Sharma seemingly benefitted from Virat Kohli's advice on field settings during the Champions Trophy 2025 final against New Zealand on Sunday in Dubai. A video of the same surfaced on social media of the seventh over where Kohli was advising Rohit on field setting and the Kiwis lost a wicket on the very next over.

The Men in Blue had dropped a couple of catches in inside the first six overs, with Rachin Ravindra getting both the lifelines. Mohammed Shami dropped a caught and bowled chance, while Shreyas Iyer dropped one while coming sprinting from mid-wicket. Nevertheless, the Asian Giants started striking from the eighth over.

Varun Chakarvarthy, who had taken a fifer against the Black Caps in the group-stage game, started by dismissing Will Young. Kuldeep Yadav followed it up with the wickets of Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson to halt New Zealand's charge after their 50-run partnership.
