The netizens have arguably gone wild as Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir embraced amid the IPL 2024 clash between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Delhi Police's official account on X also tweeted on the same, stating, 'Kisi bhi problem mein madad ke liye 112 hai taiyaar!'

With Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) seamer Naveen-ul-Haq also involved in the scheme of things, their mentor Gambhir and Kohli had a heated exchange in the IPL 2023 clash at the Ekana Stadium. Both had to cop heavy fines for the incident from the authorities, while Gambhir has been subject to chants of 'Kohli Kohli' multiple times during his commentary stints when entering into the stadiums.

By posting a picture of Gambhir and Kohli embracing, they posted the below quote for their tweet:

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli's 83 went in vain as the Kolkata Knight Riders pummelled the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday in what proved to be the first loss for the home side in IPL 2024.

KKR openers Phil Salt and Sunil Narine set the tone for the 183-run-chase, while Venkatesh Iyer struck a half-century to fashion their 2nd win of the season. Narine and Salt hammered over 80 runs in the powerplay, making it easier for Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer to score the remaining runs comfortably.

Narine earned the Player of the Match award for his 47 runs off 22 balls and a solitary wicket.
