Arsenal football club's £64 million signing Viktor Gyokeres has reportedly found himself in trouble as cops are investigating links to the club purchasing him after a bitter transfer battle. One of the relatives of the agent connected to the deal was caught in a double blast in Sweden's capital city of Stockholm.
It was ahead of the upcoming season of the English Premier League (EPL) that Arsenal had signed Gyokeres, who previously played for Sporting CP. Arsenal had approached Sporting CP regarding the deal and it was initially rejected after presenting a bid of €55 million plus €10 million in bonus. After a delay due to issues in add-ons, the transfer was finally completed on July 26.
According to the Sun.co.uk, the detectives were investigating whether the two shots fired in Huddinge near Stockholm were an attempt to eliminate the family member of an agent, who was connected to the deal. The report further said that the relative received a share from the £64million deal as it triggered claims of being 'pressured for money' in a blackmail bid.
