The district's citizens have been clamoring for more services because of the dwindling number of buses. MLA Hiray responded by meeting with Transport Minister Hiray to discuss the matter. In her comparison of Nashik's bus services in the past and present, she pointed out that 1,050 buses were in service in the division as of 2018. However, approximately 750–800 buses remain in operation after 300 were permanently deactivated owing to wear and tear.
Bus availability has drastically declined despite an increase in passengers, especially students. Daily commuters are being impacted by this shortfall, which may cause serious transit issues during the Simhastha Kumbh Mela. In order to help passengers and guarantee efficient public transportation in the district, MLA Hiray requested the Transport Minister to act right away.
