The state government has provided 33 new vehicles worth Rs 5 crore to the police department in the district. The fleet of new vehicles will strengthen the police and help in maintaining law and order. The vehicles were dedicated to public service by the district guardian minister and social welfare minister Sanjay Shirsat on Sunday.

The function was held at the ground of the Superintendent of Police (SP) office. MP Dr. Kalyan Kale, divisional commissioner Dilip Gawade, district collector Dilip Swami, ZP CEO Ankit, Special IGP Virendra Mishr, Commissioner of Police Praveen Pawar, SP Dr. Vinaykumar Rathod, additional SP Annapurna Singh, district planning officer Bharat Wayal, Rajendra Janjal, Nandkumar Ghodele, and other dignitaries were present. Out of the 33 vehicles, 10 were given to the SP office, 15 to the CP office, and 8 to the state reserve police force.
