Rs 2270 Crore Allocated For Road Development To Facilitate Smooth Journey For Devotees During Simhastha Kumbh Mela
A provision of Rs 2270 crore has been made in the state budget for the six-laning of the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar road, concreting it, strengthening other state roads including the Nashik-Dindori-Vani road, and weaving a network of circular roads around the city.

The administration has started preparations to make the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar journey smooth for devotees coming from all over the country during the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela. A provision of Rs 2270 crore has been made in the state budget for the six-laning of the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar road, concreting it, strengthening other state roads including the Nashik-Dindori-Vani road, and weaving a network of circular roads around the city.
It is estimated that crores of devotees will participate in the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela on the lines of the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela. Therefore, the administration has made major changes in the planning. Since works like roads, bridges, and ghats take a lot of time, these works have been planned to be started immediately, said Divisional Commissioner Dr. Praveen Gedam.

The administration has planned that these roads will make the journey of devotees easier and will also help in avoiding traffic jams in the city.
Road Development Scheme:
Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Six-laning: This 30-kilometer road will be six-laned and concretized. Rs 350 crore has been approved for this work.
Dindori-Vani-Nanduri Road Widening: Rs 100 crore has been approved for the widening of this road.
Other important roads: 91-kilometer roads such as Janori Airport to National Highway (50 crore), Peth-Harsul-Trimbakeshwar-Pahine (205 crore), Trimbakeshwar-Dhondegaon-Umrale-Dindori-Palkhed-Pimpalgaon (215 crore) will be strengthened.
