Aligned with the Maharashtra State Government’s Department of Environment and Climate Change’s ‘Majhi Vasundhara Abhiyan 6.0’ and this year’s World Environment Day theme — “Ending Plastic Pollution Globally” — the Municipal Council organized various environmental activities from May 22 to June 5, 2025, as part of the campaign.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Mahabaleshwar Hill Station Municipal Council conducted a special cleanliness drive at the famous Wilson Point under the initiatives of ‘Majhi Vasundhara Abhiyan 6.0’ and ‘Swachh Survekshan 2025’. The drive was successfully carried out under the guidance of Chief Officer and Administrator Yogesh Patil.
They collected over 700 kg of garbage.

Students from Anjuman High School and Makharia High School, as well as staff from Evershine Hotel, enthusiastically participated in the cleanliness drive. During the event, Hill Station Campaign Officer Ram Bhosale guided the attendees on the importance of environmental conservation and maintaining cleanliness at tourist spots.
The campaign concluded with participants taking the ‘Swachh Bharat Harit Bharat’ (Clean India Green India) oath.
