In a shocking incident, a 27-year-old man residing in a housing society in Pimpri-Chinchwad's Pimple Nilakh set 13 bikes on fire in the society's parking lot after a quarrel with his mother, officials said on Tuesday.
The video of this incident, which took place in the wee hours of March 5, has gone viral on social media recently.

According to the police, the accused has been identified as Swapnil Shivsharan Pawar. "He is an alcoholic and used to harass his parents and brother. Last Tuesday night, Pawar had a heated argument with his mother after she denied him money for alcohol. In a fit of rage at around 3:30am on Wednesday, Pawar went to the parking lot and set his mother's and brother's two-wheelers on fire. In the meantime, the fire quickly spread and engulfed 11 other vehicles," the police added.
