Thane Traffic Alert: Ghodbunder Commuters To Face Congestion As Gaimukh Road Repair Work Begins April 26; Check Out Alternative Routes

Thane: Thanekars have been dealing with traffic jams, and those driving on Ghodbunder Road will have to face tougher days ahead. The Public Works Department has commenced repair activities on the Gaimukh Ghat road, linking Thane to Ghodbunder Road. Consequently, one lane will be shut from April 26 to 29. Moreover, alterations in traffic trends will result in congestion in Thane.

Access for large vehicles traveling to Ghodbunder Road from Thane has been limited at the Y junction. As an alternative route, vehicles will arrive at their destinations from Y Junction through Kharegaon, Mankoli, and Anjurphata.

Additionally, the degree of urbanization in the Ghodbunder region has notably increased in the past few years. Additionally, the ongoing metro construction along this route is leading to daily traffic delays for motorists. In the meantime, traffic modifications have been made in anticipation of the monsoon for the Gaimukh Ghat road construction.

As another option, travelers heading to Ghodbunder from Mumbra or Kalwa will take the route through Kharegaon Toll Plaza, Mankoli, and Anjurphata. Vehicles coming from Gujarat via Ghodbunder will be barred from entering Chinchoti Naka and can reach their destinations through Kaman, Anjurphata, Mankoli, and Bhiwandi.
