Thane Crime Branch Arrests 25-Year-Old History-Sheeter For Snatching 4 Gold Chains, Unearths 9 Crimes; Seizes 100 Grams Of Gold And Motorcycle
The Thane Crime Branch Unit 1 has arrested a history-sheeter for allegedly snatching four gold chains from the necks of four women and has unearthed nine crimes, seizing 100 grams of gold ornaments and a motorcycle. The accused has been identified as Salman Firoz Khan (25), a resident of BKC in Mumbai.

Thane: The Thane Crime Branch Unit 1 has arrested a history-sheeter for allegedly snatching four gold chains from the necks of four women and has unearthed nine crimes, seizing 100 grams of gold ornaments and a motorcycle. The accused has been identified as Salman Firoz Khan (25), a resident of BKC in Mumbai.
The police said that on April 11, an unknown person on a bike allegedly snatched four gold chains. An FIR has been filed against the unknown person across Naupada, Rabodi, and Vartak Nagar. The police said that they were working on technical intelligence and CCTV footage, and with the help of local informers, located the accused in Thane.
"During the investigation, it was learned that after committing the offense, he fled to Ajmer in Rajasthan". Said police officer.
The police went there to search for him. Later, they learned that he had returned to Mumbai. Subsequently, the police laid a trap and arrested him. The police said they seized 100 grams of gold ornaments, (five mangalsutra and five chains) worth Rs 10 lakh, and a motorcycle of Rs 80,000 from his possession.
The police said that during the interrogation, they learned that a total of nine FIRs have been unearthed among the police stations such as Vartak Nagar, Kapurbawdi, Naupada, Narpoli, Kasarwadavli, and Dombivli police stations. However, a total of four cases had already been registered against him across Andheri Police, Khar Police, Mulund Police, and Santacruz police station.
