Thane Crime: Anti-Human Trafficking Unit Arrests 40-Year-Old Man For Allegedly Trafficking 2 Minor Girls On Mumbra-Panvel Road
The Anti-Human Trafficking unit arrested one agent for allegedly trafficking two girls for the flesh trade on Mumbra-Panvel Road on Tuesday. The arrested accused has been identified as Govind Prasad, 40, a resident of Khoni village in Kalyan.

Thane: The Anti-Human Trafficking unit arrested one agent for allegedly trafficking two girls for the flesh trade on Mumbra-Panvel Road on Tuesday. The arrested accused has been identified as Govind Prasad, 40, a resident of Khoni village in Kalyan.
The police said that they received information about a man who would come with two victims to indulge them in flesh trade on Mumbra Panvel Road in Thane. Following this information, they formed a team of police personnel, laid a trap at the location, and arrested Govind Kumar, rescuing the two victims from the net of flesh trade.
According to the police report, a case was registered at the Shil Daighar police station against him under the relevant sections of the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act and Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses.
Chetana Choudhary, a police inspector from the Anti Human Trafficking Cell, said, "We arrested the accused. During the interrogation, he revealed that two girls were brought from Uttar Pradesh without consent, and a case was lodged at Doharighat police station on December 1, 2024."
