Thane: 30-Year-Old Man Drowns While Swimming In Ambernath Dam; Probe Underway
A 30-year-old man drowned while swimming in the Ambernath dam in Ambernath on Friday morning. The deceased has been identified as Radhey Shayam Nandu Nishad, 30, a laborer and resident of Shukla Chaw, located in Jhambli village, Ambernath. He got married one year ago.

Ambarnath: A 30-year-old man drowned while swimming in the Ambernath dam in Ambernath on Friday morning. The deceased has been identified as Radhey Shayam Nandu Nishad, 30, a laborer and resident of Shukla Chaw, located in Jhambli village, Ambernath. He got married one year ago.
The police said that the incident took place at the dam when he went to swim at 8:30 AM on Saturday. According to the police, he went to the dam alone and ventured into the water, but was unable to gauge the depth of the water. Following this, he drowned. Locals found him floating and pulled him out, informing the police.
According to the police, he was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Sanjay Baravkar, Police Sub Inspector from Shivaji Nagar Police, said, "We have lodged an accidental death report. The body was handed over to his family members for final rites after conducting a post-mortem. We are carrying out the further investigation into the matter."
