Panvel Civic Body Marks 'Lokseva Hakka Day' With Student Competitions At Kamothe School
The civic body conducted a poster-making competition, essay writing contest, and elocution competition to raise awareness about citizens' service rights.

As part of the statewide observance of Lokseva Hakka Day, commemorating the implementation of the Maharashtra Right to Public Services Act, 2015, the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) organized a series of student-centered activities at MNR School, Kamothe, on April 29.
The civic body conducted a poster-making competition, essay writing contest, and elocution competition to raise awareness about citizens' service rights. Assistant Commissioner Shriram Pawar addressed the students, explaining the significance of the Act and the role it plays in ensuring timely, transparent, and accountable public service delivery.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 800 students taking part in the poster competition, 400 in essay writing, and 100 students competing in the elocution contest. Winners were felicitated by Assistant Commissioner Pawar during a prize distribution ceremony.
The program received active support from MNR School’s Principal Prashant Bhukar and Coordinator Lata Sungadhi, contributing to its successful execution. The initiative was part of PMC’s broader public outreach to educate citizens—especially youth—about their rights under the Public Services Guarantee Act.
