A 48-year-old man from Vasai East died of electrocution on Tuesday afternoon while attempting to drain water from a tank using an electric pump. The incident occurred in Adarsh Nagar, Sativali, in the jurisdiction of Waliv Police Station.

Palghar, Maharashtra: A 48-year-old man from Vasai East died of electrocution on Tuesday afternoon while attempting to drain water from a tank using an electric pump. The incident occurred in Adarsh Nagar, Sativali, in the jurisdiction of Waliv Police Station.
Man Electrocuted While Draining Water with Pump
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Raqeeb Abdul Majid Khan. According to the police, the accident took place around 2:03 pm when Khan was using an electric pump to draw water from the tank of his pickup vehicle. It is suspected that he suffered a fatal electric shock either due to a faulty connection or because the pump slipped during the process.
Brother Confirms No Foul Play in Police Statement
His brother, Abdul Aleem Abdul Majid Khan (36), reported the incident. In his statement to Waliv Police, Abdul Aleem confirmed that he had no suspicion of foul play and attributed the death to accidental electrocution.
