Navi Mumbai: Woman Crossing Road With Child Dies After Being Hit By Speeding Motorcycle In Uran Charphata Area
The deceased has been identified as Hewanti Chhotelal Chauhan, a resident of Telipada in Uran. According to police reports, the accident took place around 5:30 PM when Chauhan was returning home from the market with her son. As she was crossing the road near the Telipada arch, she was struck by a fast-moving motorcycle.

Navi Mumbai: A 28-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a speeding motorcycle while crossing the road with her 10 year old child on Wednesday evening in Uran. The incident occurred on the Charphata–Telipada road, near the Telipada arch. The Uran police have detained the motorcycle rider and registered a case against him.
The deceased has been identified as Hewanti Chhotelal Chauhan, a resident of Telipada in Uran. According to police reports, the accident took place around 5:30 PM when Chauhan was returning home from the market with her son. As she was crossing the road near the Telipada arch, she was struck by a fast-moving motorcycle.
“The impact caused severe head injuries, and although she was rushed to the hospital, doctors declared her dead on arrival,” said a police officer from Uran police station.

Following the incident, the Uran police registered a case against Subhash Pabarti (25), the motorcycle rider responsible for the accident and a notice was issued to him. He has been taken into custody for further questioning. Chauhan resided with her husband and child in Telipada.
