In line with the directives of the state, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) will be organizing its monthly Lokshahi Din (Democracy Day) on March 3, at the NMMC Headquarters in Belapur.
“This initiative aims to provide a platform for citizens to directly voice their grievances and concerns before the municipal administration,” said an official.
Citizens keen on raising their issues are required to submit their application by February 17. “There is a prescribed format to be followed which includes having two copies addressed to the commissioner with the subject line mentioning Application for Lokshahi Din on the front page,” informed the official.
The nature of complaints to be raised must be a single subject related to a particular department. “Matters taken up in lok shahi din will be issues which were not addressed by the concerned department. However, cases that are sub judice in nature, revenue related appeals or service establishments and employment matters will not be considered,” said the officer.
