Navi Mumbai, August 6, 2026: In a bid to curb corruption in government offices, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has launched a special public awareness campaign titled 'Bribe-Free Navi Mumbai – Our City, Our Responsibility' and activated the toll-free helpline 1064 for citizens to report instances of bribery.
The campaign, launched on Thursday, urges people to immediately report any government official or employee demanding money beyond the prescribed legal fees for official work.

The initiative aims to discourage bribery, ensure transparency in public services, and spare citizens from unnecessary visits to government offices.
The campaign is being conducted under the guidance of Thane Range Superintendent of Police Shivraj Patil, Additional Superintendents of Police Bhagwat Sonawane and Suhas Shinde, with Navi Mumbai ACB Deputy Superintendent of Police Dharmaraj Sonke leading the drive.
Officials said complaints can be lodged if any government employee seeks illegal gratification for carrying out official duties. The ACB has assured that the identity of complainants and the information provided will be kept strictly confidential, encouraging citizens to come forward without fear.
"Corruption can be effectively curbed only with active public participation. We appeal to citizens not to pay bribes under any circumstances and to immediately report any demand for illegal gratification. Every complaint received by the ACB is treated with complete confidentiality, and strict action is taken against those found guilty," said Deputy Superintendent of Police Dharmaraj Sonke.
